Stop vintage from going to the landfill
What we look for
We buy vintage, true vintage, and Y2K clothing and accessories! Our main focus is pieces from the 70s through the 2000s, but if you have something especially old, unique, or special, we absolutely want to see it. We'll happily pay you for the pieces we love!
At Studio Milano, we're passionate about keeping clothing out of landfills and giving pre-loved pieces a second life. We believe good clothing, quality fabrics, and unique materials deserve to be appreciated rather than thrown away.
Have things you'd rather donate? We always accept donations! Anything we don't select for the store can be donated to local shelters and people in need. We're currently working on expanding our donation program to get even more clothing back into our community.
We're also interested in the creative possibilities of clothing beyond resale. We reuse fabrics, textures, and materials for artwork, creative projects, and upcycling. Some pieces can be mended, transformed, or taken apart and turned into something completely new.
Our goal is to find a purpose for as much as possible, whether it's reselling, donating, repairing, recycling, or creating something new.
We believe good clothes deserve another life, not a landfill.
Frequently asked questions
What kind of clothing do you buy?
At Studio Milano, we specialize in vintage, true vintage, and Y2K fashion! Our main focus is clothing and accessories from the 1970s through the 2000s, with a strict cutoff of 2010.
We accept men's and women's clothing!
We love unique pieces, statement tops, vintage jackets, sweaters, dresses, skirts, leather goods, handbags, belts, and accessories. We're especially interested in pieces with interesting fabrics, patterns, silhouettes, and details that you don't see in stores today.
We also love true vintage! If you have something from the 60s, 50s, or even earlier, we'd absolutely love to see it.
All items must be clean, in good condition, and fit our store's vintage aesthetic.
What clothing do you NOT accept?
We are VERY selective about the clothing we purchase. Please read our guidelines before bringing in your items.
We do NOT accept:
- Clothing manufactured after 2010
- Modern fast fashion, including SHEIN, Temu and similar brands
- Modern basics or everyday clothing that does not fit our vintage aesthetic
- Clothing with excessive stains, odors, holes or damage
- Dirty clothing or items covered in pet hair
- Used underwear, socks or other intimate garments
- Counterfeit designer items
- Items that do not fit our current inventory needs
Please understand that just because something is old does not automatically mean we will purchase it. Every piece is individually evaluated based on its style, condition, quality and resale potential.
We reserve the right to decline any item for any reason.
When and where can I drop off my clothes?
You can bring your clothing directly to Studio Milano at 1980 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, Rhode Island.
We accept clothing drop-offs during our store hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
No appointment is necessary! Please bring your items clean and organized so our team can go through them.
How does the buying process work?
Once you drop off your clothes, our team will carefully review everything and select the pieces we're interested in buying.
We'll text you once we're finished, usually the same day or the next day.
We'll present you with an offer for the pieces we've selected. You can accept our offer or negotiate with us!
If you accept, we'll pay you on the spot. Anything we don't purchase can be picked up or left with us as a donation.
